Ta-da! I have a new website!
My last website was built in Wordpress and was getting a little shabby. Over the last few years, I've built several sites for clients in Squarespace and had been contemplating making the move for a while. (Guys, the back-end is SO easy to use.) Then Jabari Jumps gave me the perfect excuse: it's coming out in May, (though you can pre-order a copy now!) and I needed to create a book page for it anyway, so I decided now was a good time for a little online sprucing up!
Most of the basic features remain: You can still see galleries of my illustration and surface design work. There's some info about me, this wee blog that is currently rising from the dead, custom portrait details... The two new exciting parts are the Jabari Jumps page and the Websites for Writers page.
Over the next few months, the Jabari Jumps page will turn into a section with fun downloads, teacher lesson plans, and events. I also have some fun contests up my sleeve so stay tuned for that. (To stay in the Jabari loop sign up for my newsletter here.)
And did you catch that back there? Yup, I'm making websites for writers now! For the last ten years I've been offering design services and creating websites for small businesses. I've decided to focus on creating sites for authors because publishing is an industry I'm quite familiar with, and more selfishly, I love to read and would love to meet more authors! So let's talk if you're writer who needs a website!
