I love talking to grown ups & kids about picture books!
Sometimes its just not possible to meet in person, but the virtual programs I've created for my books are the perfect alternative! The presentations (combining videos and print out activities, with a live component,) skew towards younger kids— lower school and under. But I love to talk to people of all ages. Please get in touch and we’ll figure out something that works for you!

“The kids were so inspired! I just loved how you talked with each of the recognized authors. You REALLY made a huge impact…It was so special. The kids can't stop talking about it!!” ~Lewisville, Texas, Zoom Visit with 2nd-5th grades
Virtual School Visit Packages
$250-$350 depending on number of students
My goal is to design the videos, worksheets and activity ideas to be as flexible as possible– to work with whatever kind of school set up your community has going at the moment. And of course, if you’d like to talk about something specific we can figure that out!

“…She is an incredible speaker. She talked about something that’s on all of our minds these days: the importance of diversity in picture books—why now is the time for children not only to see themselves reflected in the books they read, but also getting to see children from other cultures and circumstances. It was a welcome topic to a room full of educators who see K-4 children on a daily basis, especially in our almost-all-white state of Vermont.” ~ Vermont, Keynote Speaker at the Red Clover Conference
For Teens and Adults:
I love talking to grown ups (eg librarians, teachers, PTO’s, parent groups, artist organizations, educators, fellow authors and illustrators etc) too!
We can talk about the importance of diversity and representation in children's books for all kids and communities.
For creatives at the beginning of their journey–teen through adult, we can discuss the publishing industry, my process, and how to get started as a writer or illustrator for kids. This can include short critiques of picture book manuscripts or portfolios.
“Gaia sparked my thinking in new ways and that’s always a good thing.” ~ Conference Attendee
