Gaia is the author-illustrator of Jabari Jumps, her debut picture book, (–a Charlotte Zolotow Honor Book and an American Library Association Notable Children's Book, among other accolades,) as well as its follow-up, Jabari Tries, and The Best Bed for Me. She illustrated The Unicorn Came To Dinner, by Lauren DeStefano. Fairy Walk, from Candlewick Press, comes out in April, 2025.
