Gaia graduated from Pratt Institute with honors, and received a BFA in Animation and Film. Since then she has been working as an illustrator and designer/animator—most notably with Flickerlab, on the animated short featured in the Oscar-winning film, “Bowling for Columbine.” For seasons 2002 and 2003, she was the Festival Director of the Brooklyn Underground Film Festival.

Lately, Gaia has been working We Are Wizards, a documentary about Harry Potter fan culture currently in film festivals nation-wide.  She also produces and sells magnetic children’s toys called Magnetic Kids.

She lives and works in Brooklyn with cats Howard and Hudson.
